In this article the authors procedeed to review a corpus of 27 articles from Clarivate’s Web of Science, Elsevier’s Scopus, and Springer’s SpringerLink, in order to assess the impact of online proctoring on students’ privacy and academical and institutional integrity. In the findings the authors report that, in the attempt to preserve the latter, the first was left behind, and aim at providing tools and means of implementation that grant trustability while at the same time preserving student mental and emotional wellbeing and safeguarding their privacy.
