New Hera: Report on pedagogical tools and analysis of online tools
The PR1 phase of the New Hera project, which aims to investigate the use of digital tools by teachers and VET trainers, has recently concluded. Exeo Lab, as the leader of PR1, has compiled a report outlining the needs of teachers in the context of online education across the four partner countries (France, Italy, Cyprus, and Belgium).
The thematic areas covered in the report include:
• E-learning strategies and methods
• Evaluation of digital tools and methods
• Communication and collaboration tools
• Design, intermediation, and content management
• Tools for monitoring learners and training management.
Transnational findings revealed several common trends:
• Both teachers and VET trainers require adequate training on using digital tools for educational assessment and online learning.
• Teachers express skepticism about the validity and effectiveness of digital assessment tools.
• While digital collaboration and communication tools are widely used in online teaching and learning, there is a request for additional training on their conscious use.
• Teachers often opt to use digital tools to enhance student attention and engagement.
